This video-based, instructor-led course is designed for healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, EMS professionals, students, and allied health professionals (i.e., trainers and therapists) who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in- and out-of-hospital settings. This course serves as essential CPR training and is particularly valuable for those pursuing CNA training, as well as for anyone interested in First Aid training. The focus is on training participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. Additionally, it includes adult, child, and infant rescue techniques, making it a comprehensive Heartsaver CPR course.
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) training equips individuals for entry-level roles in healthcare, focusing on assisting patients with daily living activities and basic care under the supervision of a nurse. These CNA training programs typically blend classroom instruction, hands-on skills practice, and clinical experience in a healthcare facility. Additionally, many programs incorporate essential skills like CPR training and First Aid training, including Heartsaver CPR, to ensure that trainees are fully prepared for their responsibilities.
This classroom-based course is designed for individuals with limited or no medical training who need to complete CPR training, including Heartsaver CPR, for job, regulatory (i.e., OSHA), or other requirements.
